FISHING FAQ

Bait, tackle, professional instruction and processing of your catch included. Parties of 2 – 10. We can accommodate larger parties with advance notice. Please call for more information. Gratuities not included.

What do I need to bring?

Dress in layers, bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, a fishing license with the appropriate stamp(s), your camera (don’t forget fresh batteries), a small ice chest, your lunch and drinks.

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes. California residents may purchase a Resident License for which you will also need to purchase a Delta Enhancement stamp. The Resident License is good for one year. You may choose instead to purchase a 1- or 2-day Pass, for which you DO NOT need a Delta Enhancement stamp. Non-California residents may purchase a 1- or 2-day Pass, for which you DO NOT need to purchase a Delta Enhancement stamp. PLEASE purchase your license or pass the day BEFORE your trip (or sooner, if you prefer).

Where can I buy my license or pass?

You can purchase your license or pass at any of the following: WalMart, Kmart, Longs, Big 5 Sporting Goods, your local bait & tackle shop or at Johnson’s Bait & Tackle in Yuba City 298 Garden Hwy, Yuba City, CA 95991 (530) 674-1912.

Will my catch be processed?

Yes, all of the fish you catch will be cleaned, and prepped to your preference: fillets or steaks, ready to cook.

Where can I stay?

We recommend the following reputable area hotels: Best Western Bonanza Inn, Holiday Inn Express, and Hampton Inn. (All three are in Yuba City, CA.)

Where will we be fishing?

Depending on the season and where the fish are biting, we’ll be fishing on one of the following: The Sacramento River, from Knight’s Landing to Los Molinos; The Feather River, from Verona to Oroville; or the Yuba River, from Yuba City to Deguerra Point Dam. The week before your trip, we’ll contact you to discuss the meeting time and place.


HUNTING FAQ

What do I need to bring?

  • Dark or camouflage clothing. Waterproof is recommended.
  • State and Federal duck stamps with current hunting license.
  • Hats and face masks are recommended. Gun (12 gauge with steel shot. Shot size anywhere from 1-4 shot is ok. No gun? No problem. We have guns for rent by the day.)
  • Waders are recommended, but not always required.
  • Dogs are ok with advance notice.

No, however, we can refer you to reputable area processors.

Are the birds worked in close?

Yes, most all birds are worked in under the call. Typically, shots are no longer than 35 yards.

Where will we be hunting?

Typically tank blinds in the heart ofthe Pacific Flyway, surrounded by privately-owned waterfowl sanctuaries. These blinds are within 30 minutes of Yuba City, CA.
