duck hunting

Your hunting trip is waiting!

We are fulltime hunters. If water fowling is your passion, as it is ours, give us a chance to fulfill that desire. Come experience the duck capital of the Pacific Flyway that is northern California. Having grown up and lived in the Sacramento Valley our whole lives, we’ve have hunted all over the valley. Over the past 18 years, we have watched duck patterns, studying the movements of birds, trying to find the most consistent shooting blinds in the valley. It’s taken many years, but now River Guide Service has found blinds that even on a “blue bird no weather” day, we still have the opportunity to shoot ducks.

We specialize in flooded timber hunts, as well as flooded rice fields. River Guide Service has many connections with blinds all over the valley. If we don’t have good shooting, we move to where the birds are.

We have two ways to accommodate you and your guests.

  1. Fully Guided Hunts: Includes a fulltime guide who puts in over 65 days a year, experienced calling to get them real close, trained labs so we never lose a bird, rides right to the blind by custom four wheelers.
  2. Non Guided Hunts: If you’re comfortable hunting without a guide, we have blinds for rent by the day. These blinds are fully set up with cover and decoys -- just jump in and go.

Locations can very depending on what fields we are hunting. All spots are a only short drive from Sacramento.
